Autumn Term 1

Our beautiful school trees were a real autumn treat this year. The sun through the leaves was simply stunning!
8th November
Make and use a printing stamp.
We used the runic alphabet to create designs for our stamps.
This lesson was a real hit!
9th November
How do the liquids we drink affect our teeth?
A simple experiment with hard boiled eggs and a variety of sweet and acidic drinks. Look out for the glass that holds water and milk!
11th November
Armistice Day.
A very important day.
We wrote poems called 'Silence'.
Some of us read them out at the Peace Tree in the Back Fields.
Some of us read them out in a special year 4 assembly.
But most importantly, it gave us time to reflect on war.
11th November
Time at the Peace Tree to remember the 46 men of St. Saviour's who died in the Great War.

We carried out experiments to find out.
Here we are hitting a drum that has a few grains of rice on the skin. We watch to see the effect of hitting the drum lightly and heavily.
Relax for kids
These classes show us to be calm and help with our concentration.
We carry out stretches and breathing exercises - which is all good fun!
Every Monday this term we have Tai kwondo
Tai kwando is a martial art that is characterised by head high kicks, jumping and spinning kicks.
